Marijuana or Cannabis, what is the difference?

It is safe to say, Marijuana was demonized in the 1930's and still is. Marijuana was unknown to the middle class and the elites of that time. Indian Hemp on the other hand was known as a house hold name. Cannabis was poised to take on the lumber and coal industry.

The term "marihuana" was coined as slang, a derogatory term directed at Mexicans from the south west. Cheap labor and an abundance of farmers in need of laborers, opened opportunity for work. Mexicans where fully aware of the medicinal value of the plant and as recreational pass time.

Then comes Henry J. Anslniger, with ties to big money and capitalist groups, he was son-in-law to Andrew W. Mellon, the Secretary of US Treasury who would appoint Anslinger to his post as Commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics for 32 years. Mellon had inherited his fathers coal and lumber industry, which Mellon made very profitable. Mellon had heavy interest in the oil industry as well. Amsterdam

So I came across this YouTube video. It is very simple and yet very powerful. It has to do with the corruption, propaganda, fear mongering by the liberal right. Fox News, paints this horrible picture of the The Netherlands, crime, corruption, gangs and on they went. As if they hiding and distorting the facts would some how benefit, a "fair and balanced" corporation.

I ran across this article as I was doing my daily research. At first I thought it was a joke or some one being sarcastic. This guy John, the author, is serious as cancer, fighting a crusade on propaganda and rhetoric.

This was my comment on his blog. "John your ideas and conclusions are effective for one thing, shows yours age and the generation that is passing by.
You are easily categorized and labeled. You rhetoric is out dated. Your strong points like reefer madness are now laughable and embarrassing.
"Madness is something rare in individuals -- but in groups, parties, peoples, ages it is the rule." --Frederick Nietzsche. Your mob was ruled by fear and ignorance.
Generations ahead, people we will look back at this time and age and wonder.
Do you still believe the world is flat and is the center of the universe? The bronze age of reasoning will die with you.
Cheers mate."
I hope he John makes it to this blog and leaves an educated remark. Give me some substance, food for thought.
